Vale

Evolution of the visual identity for Vale, one of the world's largest mining companies and a long-standing Interbrand client.

As a global organization operating across multiple geographies, audiences, and communication contexts, Vale faces a constant challenge: maintaining a strong and consistent brand while remaining flexible enough to support new initiatives and stakeholder needs.

Over three years, I worked closely with Vale and interdisciplinary teams at Interbrand on a wide range of projects, including visual identity, brand strategy, digital communications, environmental branding, and ongoing brand governance. This project marks an important milestone in that journey: the evolution of the visual identity originally created by Interbrand in 2022.

The work focused on refining key brand assets, introducing greater transparency and lightness to the graphic language, expanding photography and typography guidelines, and creating new examples of how the identity could evolve across different contexts and audiences. The result is a more flexible and scalable system, capable of supporting the growing complexity of the brand while preserving consistency at every touchpoint.

A particularly meaningful part of this work was the redesign of Vale's corporate website. I led the visual development of several sections of the platform, collaborating closely with development partners and Vale's internal teams to create a more modern, cohesive, and user-centered digital experience.
